ABOUT US

We are Sóleyð and Poul. We are farmers and we have 7 children ranging from 16 to 39 years of age. We enjoy hiking, but we also enjoy spending time together in our home. We love to cook and host guests, which is why we started doing heimablídni (home dining). We are also enthusiastic cooks and we aim to mainly use produce from our own land or local to Sandoy.

We serve food at specific times:

Brunch 10.30AM – 2.00PM (or depending on your wishes)

Dinner 6.00PM – 11.00PM (or depending on your wishes)

Min. 4 pers. max 30 pers.

MENU

Brunch – Scrambled eggs, bacon, pickled herring, rolled seasoned meat, halibut salad, cheese, nutella, jam, warm liver paste, fruit, bread, buns coffee/tea, cake. Price: 475DKK per person (min. 4 people).

Drinks with the brunch - beer and wine with the brunch. Price 115DKK per person.

3 dishes menu

- Salmon rolls w/bread

- Lamb, roasted root vegetables, potatoes and homemade gravy. 

- For dessert we offer a sweet dish made with rhubarbs (a traditional Faroese favorite!). 

Price: 950DKK per person (min. 4 people).

Drinks with the food - welcome drink, beer, wine and soft drinks with the food and avec for the coffee. Price: 235DKK per person.

3 dishes menu - Ræst (from 28/11-25)

- Salmon rolls w/bread

- fermented lamb, carrots, potatoes and more.

- Rhubarb desert and coffe/tea

Price: 950DKK per person (min. 4 people).

Drinks with the food - welcome drink, beer, wine and soft drinks with the food and avec for the coffee. Price: 235DKK per person.

We also offer TAKE AWAY 

LUNCH BOX: 4 half slices of Faroese rye bread with traditional/homemade toppings. Price: 195DKK per person

Bringing a child? No problem. The prices for children are following:

0-6 years can come for free

7-12 years pay half price.

We also offer tours and pick up/drop off at hiking locations.
