Silvitni is a female choir founded in autumn 2020 with nine singers from the Faroe Islands, Netherlands, Germany and Chile. The choir is conducted by Cinthia González Parada, who also sings in the choir.
In this spring concert Silvitni will present a varied musical repertoire with harmonies and rhythms from composers from all over the world and from different periods of music. The programme includes old music from Spain, traditional melodies from Ireland, Mexico, Cuba and Africa in addition to music by modern and contemporary composers from Japan, Estonia, England, Russia and the Faroe Islands. The lyrics touch upon very diverse subjects and are written in seven different languages. Most of the repertoire is a cappella but some of the pieces are accompanied by pianist Mattias Kapnas.
